Our Resource Centers will provide three main services.
The main part of our center will be designed for birth family visitations for children and families within the foster care system. This space will be a home-style atmosphere with age-appropriate toys and activities for each individual family. There will also be sensory toys and items to help calm fears and anxieties, so every visit is healing and working towards building healthy families.
We understand adding children to your busy household can be overwhelming. We understand the long days spent at court hearings, doctor’s offices, or therapy appointments. We want to help with dinner on those days. To Request a Meal on those days please fill out our meal request form.
Another aspect of our Resource Center is our clothing and resource room. Stocked with clothes and shoes for all ages of children, toys, baby items, and beds, the purpose of this room is to provide foster and kinship families, as well as birth families reunifying, with the practical items they need as children transition into their homes. We want to help provide the physical needs so each family can focus on loving the children entering their homes with joy and confidence.
The final room in our Resource Center is the Backpack Room. First Night Backpacks are filled with all the essentials a child might need when they are first entering foster care. Our wonderful volunteers work to fill these backpacks with toiletry and hygiene items, new pajamas, snacks, and age-appropriate activities. We want children to know from the very first day they are loved and cared for, and someone is praying for them.
Roots of Home was created with a heart to restore families. Our family-style Resource Center not only provides a safe place for families to have visits, but also through a group of trained volunteers we help provide the encouragement and support parents and children need to rebuild those important family relationships.

We could not do what we do without our amazing volunteers who give of their time, talent and resources to plant hope and grow strong families. Our volunteers help make our Resource Center a place where children and families can come to rebuild broken relationships and be encouraged to keep going, no matter where they are in their journey to building healthy families.
